Did Your Checkbook Take a Hit this Holiday Season? Get Ready for the January Money Diet

“We are all dependent on one another, every soul of us on earth.”
~George Bernard Shaw

Starting January 1, 2010, join a community of like-minded folks at the Urban Homesteader as we feature ideas, inspiration and encouragement for taking a 31-day break from nonessential spending. Discover how fun it can be to find creative ways to save money, and invest your savings in something significant at month’s end.

The one thing we won’t be doing is depriving ourselves; instead, we’ll share tips, recipes, photos, posts from guest bloggers, favorite websites and other resources to ensure that we all enjoy plenty of indulgences throughout the month. Best of all, we’ll be practicing the January Money Diet together — and we hope you’ll share your own discoveries and suggestions.

Who knows? Perhaps we’ll develop some new, positive habits that will last throughout the year and beyond. To officially announce your intention to participate, just leave a comment on the January Money Diet page  — and you’ll be on your way to a stronger 2010.
