Dear friends,
My newest cookbook will be released by Gibbs Smith on August 7, 2018, and Iām so excited to share it with you. Bacon Beans and Beer is filled with easy recipes featuring one, two, or all three of my favorite food groups (can you guess?) ā crispy bacon, savory beans and bubbly beer!
The hardback book is 128 pages including beautiful four-color photographs by Susan Barnson Hayward, and it retails for $14.99.
As you might expect from a book written by me, the 65 recipes are all super simple and approachable. They call for readily-available ingredients, and those featuring beer can be made with your favorite brew — including nonalcoholic beer.
You’ll find a variety of easy selections, for appetizers like Beer Candied Bacon:
Simple meals like Beer Bacon Mac and Cheese:
Soups like Corn, Jack, Bacon and Beer Chowder:
Snacks like Bacon Cheese Fries:
Side dishes like Bacon Macaroni Salad:
…and sweets like Bacon Peanut Butter Cookies:

Bacon would be my fave. Just had it last night. Congrats on your newest book.
Adelaide would chose bacon… she has it almost every morning!
Her Mom would choose beer because that would make it a vacation!
Bacon would be my choice.
My husband says beer! Lol
This would be a great birthday present for my husband. All of our favorites! Congrats on your new book.
I love your question on how to enter! So much fun!!! I’m not entering…conflict of interest, ya know…but I’d have to pick bacon! š Congratulations on this wonderful book! I’ll be gifting it to lots of people!
Bacon! But the beans would probably be an excellent choice too š
Bacon!
Beer of course! To quench your thirst.
While I do love bacon and beans I would have to pick beer for sure. I’m no dietician but I believe it would definitely keep you alive as it has carbs, small amount of vitamins, potassium, calcium! It has all food groups – lol!
This cookbook should be a big hit in Texas!
Eliza
So excited to see another book by you!!
I think you have hit the nail on the head with this
one for guys and gals! Congratulations!!
I would want a case of beans!! Not sure why, but sounds more tolerable over s long period of time!! And might go better with tea! By the way, staple Sunday supper (tea) for the Brits is Beans and Bacon on toast with cheese optional
Crispy, crunchy Bacon of course!
Congrats! Bacon by far would be my first choice, lol. Beer would be the next.
My husband and I both agree….beer. He says for hydration, but I think it would go nicely with the coconuts, pineapple, and fish we will also have.
Much as I love bacon and beer, Iām too practical to pass up a steady source of protein. Beans, it is!!
I say beans, my husband says beer. Our three favorite food groups!
It would have to be bacon, aka nature’s candy.
Omg, your Corn, Jack, Bacon and Beer Chowder looks delish!
I think I would choose beer for hydration! š
It would be all the bacon!!!!!
I would choose beans for nourishment. They say that they are good for you and keep you feeling full.
Hmmm, I’d have to go with the BACON!
Bacon for sure! No doubt about that one!
I think my husband would choose the beer. LOL I do like beans, but I’m not sure that I would like them daily, and beans need flavor added like bacon! Bacon is so lovely—crispy, salty, fatty, and it’s protein!
I absolutely NEED this book! I love bacon, because BACON! I have my eyes on the bacon macaroni salad!
I would
Go for the beans
Definitely bacon. Congrats on the book!
Bacon but beans are a very close 2nd
Bacon……I know beans would be the smartest choice in this situation, but since it’s just pretend I’m going to stick with my bacon!
Bacon! Bacon! Bacon! This is a must have for our home, my husband in particular!
Bacon for sure!!!! š
