Win Your Very Own Toilet Paper Roll Extender

Taravan extender

Dear friends,

I don’t mean to brag, but I’ve developed something of a reputation as a jumbo toilet paper roll activist.

I wrote a rant about how mega toilet paper rolls don’t fit in the holder that plunged me into the spotlight. As a result, I’ve had the heady experience of hearing from similarly frustrated users whose oversized t.p. rolls don’t fit in their standard bathroom holders.

I never dreamed that flushing out this important issue would connect me with Teravan, a Canadian company that sells a brilliant TOILET PAPER ROLL EXTENDER!

When principal Doug Short wrote and asked me if I’d like to try out their clever products, my emotions swirled with excitement. I could hardly type the word YES fast enough.

Teravan’s toilet paper roll extenders come in both a spring-loaded model and a fixed model. I tried the chrome version of the spring-loaded model, and was so pleased with its simplicity, ease of use and elegant good looks:

Mega toilet paper extender

Best of all, with the extender in place the mega roll actually turns! You can actually access the toilet paper!

The nice folks at Teravan have kindly offered to give away a free extender of your choice to THREE (3) lucky Happy Simple Living readers. To enter the giveaway, leave a comment on this post answering this question:

Do you love or loathe oversized mega toilet paper rolls?

The giveaway is open to readers with a shipping address in the U.S. or Canada, and runs through Sunday, June 24, 2018 at midnight MST. I’ll draw three names at random and email you if you’re the lucky winner.

Let’s wipe out mega roll frustration for once and for all!

Hugs,

  1. Love’em! But….loathe the way they fit in a standard dispenser through the first quarter of the roll. Hooray for this simple but effective solution.

  2. Loathe them!!! It’s getting harder and harder not buy them now everyone’s making them. Bigger is not better since they don’t fit in the standard toilet paper holders. They’re a pain since they don’t fit for the first quarter of the roll.

  4. I’m so happy to read that I’m not the only one!!! Our apartment was upgraded within the past 10 years and it *still* doesn’t fit the mega rolls! What’s worse is that the stores in our area have stopped selling the smaller rolls so we’re SOL (literally) trying to find someplace to put them! The bathroom counter is tiny so it’s really easy to knock the roll into the sink and ruin the paper. An extender is a much-needed item in this household and I cannot believe that they aren’t more common. With household toilet paper rolls fast approaching the size of commercial ones so I’m so glad that at least one company has taken note. Hopefully others will follow!
