Just in Time for Thanksgiving, Win Crispy, Yummy John Wm. Macy Snacks

Assorted John Wm. Macy's snacks

I rarely endorse products, but when I do it’s for something I’m truly crazy about. We recently discovered the most heavenly little treats—and with the holidays approaching, I just had to share them with you. John Wm. Macy makes the most delicious, crispy, flavorful snacks you ever put in your mouth, and our family can’t get enough of them.

Cheese crisps

The cheese sticks and crisps are made from layers of sourdough and shredded cheese, and baked in twisty strips or bite-sized pieces. The sticks come in to-die-for flavors like Melting Parmesan and Garlic Romano, and the crisps are available in combinations like (two of my personal favorites) Smoked Jalapeno and Sesame Gruyere. They pair nicely with a glass of wine, can be tossed in salads or served with soups, and are perfect as a base for elegant, easy appetizers. But mostly we just devour them straight out of the box.

John Wm. Macy's Sweet Sticks

The sweet sticks are strips of pastry layered with ingredients like Java cinnamon and Madagascar bourbon vanilla, twisted and double-baked. Lordy! They’re so crispy and good with a cup of coffee or tea or served after dinner.

We love these gourmet treats, and if you have a few boxes in the pantry you always have the makings for an impromptu little party. They’re available at stores like Kroger, Whole Foods, Costco and Publix, and you can also order them online.

Just in time for Thanksgiving, the nice folks at John Wm. Macy have generously offered to give away three boxes of these delectable treats to one lucky Happy Simple Living reader in the U.S. or Canada. If you win, you get to choose a 3-pack of your choice from all of the delicious flavors they offer.

To enter, simply answer this question:

How are you celebrating Thanksgiving this year?

Will you be hosting and roasting a turkey at your house? Or traveling somewhere? Volunteering at a shelter? Skiing? Watching the Macy’s parade? Whatever you’re doing, just dash off a quick response in the comments below and you’ll be automatically entered. The giveaway is open now through next Thursday, November 14, at midnight MST.

Thanks so much to John Wm. Macy’s CheeseSticks for sponsoring this giveaway.

Hugs,

  1. My husband, daughter and I will start the day by running our local Turkey Trot. Then it’s home for showers and a little R&R before going to Cracker Barrel to eat. I take Thanksgiving off from cooking and make up for it over the Christmas Holidays 🙂

  2. It will be unusual because my husband has a feeding tube
(in the stomach) and after a bad reaction to a prescrip-
tion drug I have very little appetite. But I love
snacks! I can eat a little bit at a time and enjoy them.

  3. After lots of traveling this year, I’m looking forward to having Thanksgiving dinner at home with my kids and mom. I love the aromas from the kitchen, eating the leftovers and decorating for Christmas right afterward. Happy Thanksgiving!

  4. We will be traveling 1000 miles each way to spend Thanksgiving with my sister and her family. Also my 87 year old dad. My sister and I will cook a turkey with all the trimmings. We will play board games after dinner and just visit.

    • Carole, what a fun way to spend Thanksgiving! My aunt and uncle live in Savannah and it’s such a lovely town. We love Mrs. Wilkes for real Southern cuisine: http://mrswilkes.com/

  6. Probably roast turkey Wednesday, on to church that evening; host the family (inc. Chinese exchange student, maybe) for a Thursday gathering. Wonderful, happy, blessed times!

    • You are right, Carolyn – “Wonderful, happy, blessed times.” How special that you can maybe share Thanksgiving with an exchange student! My Dutch friends had Thanksgiving here one year and thought stuffing and pumpkin pie were a little odd, but very American. Have fun!

  7. We don’t have any family within 600 miles, so we will invite friends to share the holiday with us. The more, the merrier. No one should be alone for the holidays. And, I love to cook for a crowd. 🙂
