  • To celebrate as sustainably as possible, with less waste and less consumption.
  • To give fewer, but more meaningful gifts.
  • To celebrate the season with not one nickel of credit card debt or over-spending.
  • To find ways to bring the spiritual meaning back to Christmas, both for myself and our family.
  • To enjoy indulgences in a balanced way, without gaining weight or overdoing it.
  • To take care of myself, exercise, eat good food, get enough sleep and carve out time for reflection and prayer.
  • To have all the tasks like shopping, wrapping, cards, shipping and decorating done by December 1.
  • To bundle up and go to the Parade of Lights in early December.
  • To give generously to those in need.
  • To have fun and make memories with my kids.
  • To attend our church’s candlelight Christmas Eve service.
  • To have a family photo taken.
  • To get together with girlfriends.
  • To do something fun with my nieces.
  • The indulgent gift I’d love to receive: a pair of black satin Isotoner slippers

May your holidays be especially merry and bright, and may the peace and joy of this special season fill your home in the coming weeks,
